White Sudanese sesame is considered one of the best types of sesame famous in the world and suitable for the manufacture of Tahina and Syrian sweets, due to its white color, ease of peeling, and low content of the fatty substances, which is easily used in the processes of manufacturing Tahina and Arabic sweets without any traces because of heat treatment during roasting and grinding. 80% of the sesame used in the production of Sweets in Syria is imported from Sudan.
